The old bird racing
loft pictured to the left was |
|
the first true European
loft ever shipped to the |
|
United States. It
measures 8 feet wide by 30 |
|
feet long. It
arrived in pre-assembled partitions |
|
and was set on a
platform three feet above the |
|
ground to prevent
dampness in the loft. The |
|
tile roof provides an
excellent ventilation system |
|
for the loft.
Floor heating pads are used to |
|
control dampness and
temperature in the loft. |
|
In the ceiling are
sliding panels that are opened |
| |
and closed to control
the ventilation and temper- |
|
ature
of the loft. Aviaries were recently added on each side for the
breeders that are housed now in the |
|
loft. |
