Ganus Family Loft is located in the northern part of Indiana, very near to the Indiana and Michigan border and about 90 miles east of Chicago, Illinois.

We have 3 lofts - a breeding loft, an old bird racing loft and a young bird racing loft, located on five acres of property. The breeding loft pictured below
measures 12 feet wide and 50 feet on each side with separate wings of individual breeding sections. All the lofts have floor heat to provide heat in the
winter and to control dampness.

Twenty six pair of our top breeders are kept in individual breeding sections. Each of these sections also have an individual aviary for the pair for bathing and relaxing outside.

Below left: A two story building with the bottom floor used for storage and the top floor used for young birds.  A 20 ft. x 20 ft. x 10 ft. aviary has been added where the birds
can take their bath and just relax in the sun.

Below right: This loft replaced the young bird loft that I used to fly out of.  In the ceiling are sliding panels that are opened and closed to control the ventilation and temperature
of the loft.  Aviaries were added on each side for the breeders or youngsters that are now housed in the loft.
